- 5 / 5By Duncan RossLittle bit more costly than some of the other cafe/restaurants in Sidmouth but food is excellent the staff are very friendly it has slate flooring which when it gets very hot in summer and there are lots of people in there it keeps it cool,they do have doors and windows open. - 2 / 5By Chris GowerTonight has been interesting. It's Red arrows day here in Sidmouth. 20,000 people came to watch them and at least half of them came to be fed afterwards. We booked a table at The Black Horse, we ordered at 19:22 and our food came at 21:15. I knew it was going to be busy but 2 hours? Really?
We also complained about the quality of the food, but luckily the management were kind enough to agree to refund half the meal.
In fact for the loveliness of the staff I feel bad writing a poor review. I do want to return and give them another chance.August 05, 2016
